Arrive Winton Airport and transfer to Club Paterson Tent City. Step into your roomy Safari tent, unpack and stretch out on your comfortable camp bed. No need to make your bed, it’s all ready for you. Towels are included too. Then it’s just a short walk to all the action in Elderslie Street, Winton. Live bands are performing on the Main Stage from 12.30pm today, so pull up a chair and enjoy. Tonight you’re invited to our Sunset Dinner Extravaganza at Winton Airport tarmac. Dine under the stars and celebrate the magical outback sunset.The nominated charity for this year’s Sunset Extravaganza is the Royal Flying Doctor Service. Canapes and a three-course dinner will be prepared by Celebrity Chef Matt Golinski and you’ll enjoy live entertainment by the 1RAR Military Band. The MC for the evening will be Australian musical entertainer, Waltzing Matilda Centre Patron and Outback Queensland Tourism Ambassador, Tania Kernaghan.

Join Host Marco Gliori as he presents another series of hilarious mornings, featuring Muz Hartin (the bloke who wrote the modern classics Turbulence and Rain From Nowhere) and Bill Kearns the internet sensation with his live U-Tube hits that have captured audiences world-wide. These three characters will have you rolling in the aisles, wiping away the odd tear, and revelling in the campfire atmosphere and mate-ship that The Outback Festival has become famous for. Gates open 3.00pm at the Eric Lenton Memorial Recreation Grounds for the Australian Dunny Derby events and Friday Concert Series (both events are included in your Friday Concert Series entry ticket). Friday Concert Series lineup includes Friday Night Concert Series – Innocent Eve, Frankie J Holden & Wilbur Wilde, Absolutely 80’s and the 1RAR Rock Band (7.00pm until midnight).

Head the the main street for plenty of action this morning including the Nathan Griggs Whip Cracking Show, live bands on the Main Stage and a whole host of whacky events. At 1.00pm, see the finals of the outback strength events including the Outback Iron Man series (one of the country’s toughest Iron Man compititons), the incredible Truck Pull and more. Gates open 5.00pm at the Eric Lenton Memorial Recreation Grounds for the Outback Thunda Monster Truck Show and Saturday Concert Series (both events are included in your Saturday Concert Series entry ticket). Saturday Concert Series lineup includes Chantoozies, Brad Butcher, ACCA DACCA, Chili Peppers Tribute Band (7.00pm until midnight).
