Start your morning right with a hearty breakfast and belly full of laughs at the bush poets breakfast.
Entertainment by local Winton performing Jessica White during breakfast before the show commences at 8:30AM.
Soothing campfire smoke drifts up through the morning sky, a distance rumble of laughter begins to emanate from the Winton Shire Hall, and a grand Outback tradition unfolds as keen fans hustle for a good seat, a warm breaky, and the Mateship that rises early with The Bush Poets Breakfast.
Host Marco Gliori welcomes those who are camped in ‘The Million Star Motel’ to a morning that invites, to the story-teller’s circle, contemporary poets and yarn spinners like Ray Essery, whose reputation is renowned in modern poetry folklore.
Once Marco waltzes his Matilda on stage, you can watch him stretch a lie further than most, encouraging a belief in the myth that ‘Poets Never Lie’!
Barbecue Balladist Errol Gray will have you laughing along to his original tunes, while the Poets Breakfast provides a feast of laughter, reflection, unique characters, and bulldust galore.
On the breakfast menu you’ll find bacon, sausages, eggs, tomato, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and baked beans, to get you fuelled up for the day ahead.
