Outback Iron Challenge Returns in 2023

Attention all adventure seekers, bushmasters and fitness enthusiasts!

The 2023 Outback Festival in Winton is just around the corner, and we have some exciting news for you. This year, the Outback Iron Man, Woman and Junior events are back, and they are bigger and better than ever before!

The Outback Iron events are a series of gruelling challenges that test the limits of human endurance. This year’s event promises to be even more fun and challenging, with a range of obstacles that will push competitors.

The challenges include transferring fencing equipment over a measured distance, navigating their way through the Long Waterhole watercourse, a Farmer’s Carry challenge with a hay bale obstacle course, an 8km adventure trail run, and a final challenge where competitors will have to push a 4WD vehicle over a measured distance.

These challenges are designed to push even the fittest athletes to their limits and will be a true test of strength, endurance, and mental toughness. Don’t want to compete? Make sure to come cheer on the competitors and see who comes out on top.

But that’s not all the Outback Festival has to offer! From the famous Quilton Australian Dunny Derby, Outback Aussie sports, Bush Poets Breakfasts and live music and entertainment, there’s something for everyone at this iconic Outback Queensland event. And of course, there’s the stunning Outback landscape to explore and admire while you’re visiting, with its rugged beauty.
